BEFORE YOU SET OFF

A few useful things to know.

Is it really free?

All current beta learning activities are free, including stories, practice and retries. You can begin without creating an account. Optional supporter payments are not open yet.

Who is LumenTales for?

English learners who enjoy stories and playful practice. The English collection spans A1–B2 reading targets, so you can choose a comfortable starting point. These are editorial reading levels; XP, badges and titles do not certify proficiency.

Can I save my progress?

Yes. Guest progress saves in this browser. An optional email-link account lets you save progress to the cloud. You choose whether to copy your guest progress to your account. Keep a backup before clearing browser data or moving devices.

Are the voices recorded?

The English collection includes recorded story narration and many vocabulary and dialogue clips. Device voices are available for comparison and as a fallback where a recording is unavailable. Audio needs a browser or device that supports playback.

Do I need to install an app?

No. Open LumenTales in a modern mobile or desktop browser. The web beta is available now. App-store releases are not available yet.

Is there an AI tutor?

Conversations follow authored branches, and writing uses guided self-review. LumenTales does not currently provide a live AI tutor or automatic grammar grading. Thai and Spanish are smaller content previews; English is the beta focus.
