Course progress, nickname, vocabulary reviews, writing, conversation choices and bookmarks stay in local storage on your device. Optional web accounts use Supabase for email sign-in and cloud saves when configured. Signing in alone does not upload guest progress; you choose the save to use. Cloud snapshots include your nickname, writing drafts, practice records and reading bookmark. There is no advertising SDK, learning analytics SDK or AI grading service. Clearing app/site data or uninstalling can delete local saves.
Backups may include your nickname and writing. You choose where to save them and who receives them. Import replaces the selected course after confirmation. Feedback produces a file for manual sharing; it is not sent automatically. Do not put sensitive information into exercises or reports.
The web edition loads pages and images from its host and fonts from Google Fonts. Those providers receive normal network request information. Android bundles the core content and omits Google Fonts requests; the app has no Internet permission. Browser/device speech services may use their own network services. Their operation depends on the engine and voices you choose.
Guest saves remain on this device. Account saves are separate for each user and course. Cloud requests go directly to the configured Supabase project. Supabase sends sign-in and recovery emails through Resend. Resend processes the destination email address and authentication email content to deliver these messages. Account data is stored in the configured Supabase project in Ireland. No newsletter subscription is enabled by creating an account. Email click and open tracking are not enabled. You can export account progress or delete your account and cloud saves from Account & cloud save. Signing out leaves cached account progress on this device for recovery. Deleting the account removes its cloud saves and the account copies in this browser; local copies on other devices are not remotely erased. The Android edition remains local-only.
Export backups from My progress. Manage or remove local data through browser site settings or Android app storage settings. Removing local data is permanent without a backup. Contact the person or organization that invited you to this beta for support. A monitored developer contact and publicly accessible policy are required before the planned store launch.
