iPhone & iPad

  1. Open lumentales.net in Safari.
  2. Open the Share menu, sometimes inside the page menu.
  3. Choose Add to Home Screen.
  4. If shown, turn on Open as Web App, then tap Add.

Android

  1. Open lumentales.net in Chrome.
  2. Open the browser’s ⋮ menu.
  3. Choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
  4. Confirm using your browser’s instructions.

Computer

  1. Open LumenTales in Chrome or Edge.
  2. Look for an install icon in the address bar or an install option in the browser menu.
  3. Confirm to open LumenTales in its own window.

Options vary by browser. A bookmark works too.

Your progress travels with your account.

You can start as a guest. Guest progress belongs to the browser or installed app where you created it. If your installed app opens with a fresh save, sign in to the same LumenTales account and choose your cloud save, or use Export/Import in your adventurer profile. Keep a backup before switching.

How do updates work?

The home-screen app opens our website in an app window. After a release is deployed, close and reopen the app to load the latest version. An already open activity stays on its current version until reloaded. Save your work before refreshing.

Does it work without internet?

Use Offline lessons while you have an internet connection to download the course essentials, practical lesson library and optional village. Downloaded text lessons, exercises and unit maps then work offline. Recordings and story illustrations are not included; unit maps are included. Device speech depends on installed voices. New sign-ins and cloud sync need internet. Adding the home-screen icon alone does not download lessons. Your browser may remove downloads to free space.

Is this an App Store or Play Store download?

This is the web app, installed through your browser. It does not require a store account or subscription. All learning is free during the beta.
